They have also developed the BIOHAZARD 3 SOURCENEXT version which received the same treatment that includes Windows XP Compatibility Support, uncompressed high quality FMVs again, however similar to previous original releases of Resident Evil 3 on PC, graphical rendering issues on modern hardware still exist which forces the in-game models to display in software "driver" mode giving them a shaky unstable polygonal effect (The same effect can be replicated with RE2 Running on Software Driver rendering mode, PS1 Rendering is also comparable) which is probably due to forced software driver rendering mode on some machines.

It is the company responsible for developing various PC Ports for early Resident Evil titles, including: The BIOHAZARD 2 SOURCENEXT 2006 Port which includes high quality uncompressed FMVs and better compatibility support, but is known for lacking custom or higher resolution features while also lacking a settings fronted (which is found in original ports). "Runs at 30fps for 3D scenes with video interpolation (60fps for menus)"įrom what I can tell from youtube videos, the Dreamcast version does look to run at 30FPS during gameplay, door animations and menus seem to be 60FPS and the FMVs did look smoother than other versions, which I guess is what the video interpolation refers to. Some sources claim it runs at 60FPS, but then others claim it is just the FMVs. I'm pretty sure the game runs in 480p, but I think somebody told me in another thread that the pre rendered backgrounds are 240p across all versions. Somebody that knows better, please correct me if I'm wrong. I have the GameCube version which is great, but I think I've heard it lacks a few of the dreamcast version's visual features. Also for Resident Evil 1 there is a 1997 released PowerVR version who looks and plays better than its downscaled PC counterpart which was censored in euope with the black and white intro except germany, the only big problem with that one is that it only runs on dedicated PowerVR cards like the Matrox M3D or the Apocalypse and you need an old system or Vintage PC to run Win98 on it.If I recall correctly, I believe the dreamcast version has the highest quality assets and best quality in general.
